Helping SMEs appropriate and integrate artificial intelligence technologies into their operations.
Through its consulting, development and implementation services for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, Explorai aims to maximize the operational and competitive gains of SMEs by supporting them throughout the cycle of integrating AI into their business processes.
Founded in 2019 by Olivier Caron-Lizotte, Explorai today has nearly twenty employees with diversified expertise in business analysis, artificial intelligence and software development.

Olivier Caron-Lisotte
President and founder of Explorai
Olivier Caron-Lizotte has over 20 years' experience in IT strategy, software development and artificial intelligence. He is the founder and CEO of Explorai, a company dedicated to the integration of AI and data science technologies in enterprises. He holds a degree in computer science with 10 published research articles and management experience at Biron Groupe Santé and BiogeniQ Inc. He has led multidisciplinary projects and is an expert in machine learning and business intelligence.

Rémi Dion
Vice President, Data Science
A professional in the field of automation applied to the energy, finance and logistics industries, Rémi oversees Explorai's deep technology initiatives. A McGill graduate in electrical engineering, Rémi explored renewable energies in Denmark, developed a communication system nestled in power electronics at ABB in Switzerland, and quickly saw the application of data analysis in wind energy in Prince Edward Island.
With a Master's degree in Machine Learning, he brings expertise in the integration of reinforcement learning and deep learning to the logistical and operational needs of Canadian industry.

William began his career in the web field, designing websites and web applications. Stimulated by new challenges, he pivoted to the world of artificial intelligence in 2017, with a penchant for all things digital vision.

Hugues Mailhot
Vice-President, Sales and Marketing
Hugues Mailhot is a partner and vice-president of Explorai. With over 20 years' experience in managing, commercializing and implementing innovative technologies in various industries, he has in-depth knowledge of digital transformation and the application of AI in corporate business processes.
His expertise focuses on identifying business needs and discovering innovative AI applications that offer a high return on investment for entrepreneurs. Hugues is also passionate about technology and entrepreneurship.

Antoine Zieger
Technical Manager
Antoine began his career as a bioinformatics engineer with a degree from INSA Lyon. Leveraging the knowledge he had acquired in the processing of biological big data, he entered the world of start-ups and began working as a big data analyst. He quickly became interested in how big data was handled behind the scenes: how to scale applications, build cloud infrastructures and software for reliable scaling.
Antoine has an entrepreneurial mentality and founded a company just before joining Explor.ai. He also has a strong interest in mentoring and mentors interns and junior employees.
Jean-François Baril
Project Manager / AI Expert - M.sc
Jean-François is a project manager specialized in AI and also responsible for in-house training. He holds an undergraduate degree in physics and computer science from Université de Montréal, and a master's degree in machine learning from MILA.
He is a generalist in the various fields of AI, passionate about pedagogy and curious to learn about new application environments. With a previous career as a chef, he also runs cooking workshops for his colleagues.
Lyes Ould-Ramoul
Data Scientist
After completing his master's degree in business intelligence at HEC Montréal, Lyes joined Explorai as a data scientist. He ensures that customers have the right data to exploit. If not, he helps his partners with advice on data collection and transformation. He is MongoDB certified and has a passion for hiking.
Gaétan Rey
Project Manager / AI Expert
Gaétan trained in Big Data at the École d'Ingénieur Telecom Nancy from 2019 to 2022. He also held the position of Project Manager at TNS (Junior Entreprise) in 2019 and became Vice-President of TNS in 2020-2021. In 2021, he completed an ERP at Georges Cerisier and obtained his master's degree in AI at Sherbrooke in 2022.
Currently, he is a Solutions Integrator at Explorai and Project Manager in Artificial Intelligence since 2022, with notable chess achievements such as 3 podium finishes at the French Chess Championships.
Tomy-Phillip Houde
Project Manager / Software Development Expert - B. Eng.
Tomy-Philip graduated from Cégep de Sherbrooke in 2018 with a degree in Computer Management Techniques, and from Université de Sherbrooke in 2022 with a degree in Computer Engineering. He is certified as a MongoDB Associate Database Administrator and has specialties in web and mobile software development.
Pierre-Emmanuel Savoie
Software engineer and applied AI expert - B.Ing, M.Ing
Pierre-Emmanuel is an artificial intelligence professional with a bachelor's degree in software engineering and a master's degree in artificial intelligence from Polytechnique Montréal. He joined the Explor.ai team in May 2023 as an intern, and in September of the same year became a full-time employee.
His work experience includes previous internships at Rio Tinto on the Industry 4.0 team in summer 2021, as well as a DevOps internship at National Bank in summer 2020
Yan Drolet-Mihelic
Innovation Director
Yan is a visionary engineer and intrapreneur with twenty years' experience in product development. With a wide range of expertise, he has contributed to the implementation of innovative solutions in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Recognized for his customer-focused approach, he has played key roles in management, technical leadership and consulting at several renowned companies. Yan stands out for his professionalism, his ability to solve complex problems, and his unwavering desire to contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
Nicolas Gervais
Senior machine learning scientist
Nicolas has been contributing to Explor.ai's development since its inception in 2020. He has contributed to major projects, writing funding applications, integrating AI into a clinical trial management platform, and creating an automated inventory solution based on computer vision. He also excels at optimizing AI risk management.
He holds a Certificate in Machine Learning from McGill University, as well as a Master's degree in Data Science from HEC Montréal. His Tensorflow Developer certification and two patents in computer vision testify to his ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in data science.
Nicolas is also an active contributor on GitHub and Stack Overflow, making him a recognized reference for tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Marc-Antoine Bélisle
Software developer
He joined the Explorai team thanks to his keen interest in acquiring new knowledge of official intelligence and full-stack development technologies.
With a degree in Business Information Systems from Université de Sherbrooke and a passion for swimming, Marc-Antoine is always ready to jump in the water or dive into a variety of projects!
Luca Vadnais
Frontend Developer
Luca, who has always had a passion for design, brings his expertise as a developer and application designer. His mandate will be to make the tools we develop accessible to all users.
Already during Cégep, he enjoyed developing web pages in his spare time. He is currently completing a degree in business informatics at the Université de Sherbrooke. He also intends to continue his education and master all aspects of user experience (UX).
Laetitia Constantin
AI-oriented backend developer
Laetitia is a versatile developer with solid experience in software development, from frontend to fullstack, and holds a Master's degree in Expert IT, Data Science and AI, attesting to her academic background.
His commitment to demystifying AI through podcasts testifies to his desire to share his knowledge and make complex concepts accessible.
Over the past five years, she has contributed to a variety of projects, demonstrating her adaptability and competence in diverse environments such as the National Police, banking, MedTech and telecommunications.
Emily Brereton
Data scientist and backend developer
Emily has always had an interest in machine learning and data science, and this is what drives her tenure with us.
Her studies at Queen's University, Kingston, in applied mathematics and computer engineering led her to work, among other things, on data compression using neural networks.

Marie Gallagher
Manager, IA Business Solutions
With expertise in technology solutions consulting, Marie supports our customers in their adoption of AI.
She worked at Mila on applied AI projects for SMEs and helped accelerate the commercialization of AI via a training workshop offering she developed. She also worked as a data analyst at La Presse and led the development of a data culture for the sales and operations department.
Marie holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Université de Sherbrooke and a master's degree in business intelligence from HEC Montréal.
Martin Bougie
Project Manager
A graduate in marketing and information systems (1994 HEC Montréal), Martin began his career just as the web was taking off with the general public. Starting out as a marketing analyst, he went on to become a web programmer and database manager, in addition to training entrepreneurs in the use of the Internet.
In 2002, he moved over to the content-producer side, joining the Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec, a network of some 30 local media outlets, of which he was general manager for 15 years.
In 2023, he joined the Explorai team as Project Director, once again helping to support SMEs in innovation and digital transformation.
Jean-François Soucy
AI Solutions Consultant
Jean-François studied business administration in New York and Michigan, where he was also an NCAA baseball student-athlete. Following his sports career, he wore many different hats. At Bombardier, he worked in inventory management, continuous improvement and production planning.
He was then self-employed for several years, helping companies with their digital marketing and business development. He also worked at Premier Tech in business architecture and strategic planning.
At Explorai, Jean-François brings his multidisciplinary expertise to help companies discover where artificial intelligence can bring value to their business.
